Data entry in a Form pt. 2

The form displays the last time we spoke with client.

However, I also need an empty box for both a date and comments that will go
into my call log table and be empty every time I open the form for a new
entry.

Hi Austin

Open the form in design view and in the data column set the Data Entry t = Yes

Note - ensure you click outside the detail area so you are selecting the
form itself and not any controls

Just had a thought - I'm not sure what you do with this form so you may be
better just open the form at a new record each time you load.

Open the form in design view
Right outside the details area (the grey section around the outside)
Open the properties box
In the Event column select OnLoad
Select the build option (...)
Select code
You will see this

Private Sub Form_Load()

End Sub

You need to put (paste this code if you want) just one line of code so that
it now looks like this


Private Sub Form_Load()
DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec
End Sub

Close this page and go back to the form. Now each time you load you will be
at a new record.
