data entry key under records

Ann

I hit the data entry key under the records column today
and my data base with 900+ entries, now appears to have
only 1. I can't find all my data.

Can anyone help me locate it? The file says it's still
big, but I don't know how to get it to show???

Thanks.

What is "the Data Entry key"? Are you working in a Table Datasheet, or
a Form, or what?

A Form has a Data Entry property. If it is True, then you will indeed
see only the "new record" (though the data is all still there, you
just can't see it). Try opening the table from the Tables tab of the
database window - is it there?

Don't Compact until you find it. A database with deleted records won't
shrink *until* you compact it; unfortunately it can't be readily
recovered even though it's still taking up space. If need be contact
Peter Miller at http://www.pksolutions.com (bring your checkbook).
