Data entry with List Wizard causing crash

I've create a data entry field using the list wizard so I can utilize
pop-up menus. It appears to create the table correctly, showing be
column headers with the appropriate pop-up menu information. Catch is
every time I try to enter data - in any column - Excel crashes. I'm
using an Intel machine (10.4.11) and Excel 11.3.7. It appears this
shouldn't be that difficult. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lisa

Does it happen with a brand-new workbook? If not, it could be corruption
in your document.

With XL closed, try renaming (or trashing, if you don't have settings
you want to keep) your

~:Library:preferences:Microsoft:com.microsoft.Excel.prefs.plist

file (where ~ is your home directory). Any difference?

If not, can you specify what you have in your fields?

Thanks so much for your help. Throwing away the prefs file worked
when I created a very simple list for data entry. I then tried again
with a more robust list and it crashed again. My fields consist of a
date, any value and one list field. The list does contain a fair
number of entries, (i.e. I've maxed it out) so maybe I'm just pushing
the envelope?

I can't reproduce that (I'm assuming by "maxed it out" you mean that you
have more than 1000 entries), but I supposed it could be a resource
issue.
