Data error, cyclic redundancy check. What is this?

I am trying to access files on drive A (floppy). It was reading 5 minutes
ago! Now I get a, "data error (cyclic redundancy check) reading. When I
click on "A" again I get a message stating, "disk A not accessible, disk
media not recognized, disk may not be formatted". It has max # of files on
it, I was just using it. Drive DOES read other disks. Important - contains
Doctor reports on it! Help! TY

Sounds like the diskette has developed errors. Run a CHKDSK on it
(right-click on the drive with the diskette in it, choose Properties, then
Tools, then Check Now).
