Data Execution Prevention Errors in WORD Only

Hello, whenever I print a document from WORD 2003, onto my wireless HP
printer,
I get an error box that states that there is a Data Execution Prevention
Error and Windows Will now Close. The document does eventually print, but
never let's me exit out of the program unless I close the Error Box. I should
tell you that I did go into settings and check the box off to trick the
system in allowing WORD 2003 to by-pass the Data Execution Error, and I no
longer get the error message, but it's still not working right. I have
absolutely no problem with printing from EXCEL or Powerpoint - Only WORD.

Is there a permanent fix to this? Why is this happening only in WORD? As a
point of reference I should tell you that I do have MacAfee Firewall
installed as well if that helps with arriving at a solution.

Your help is most appreciated.

Thanks.

Is the Wireless network connection bi-directional? Word needs to know when
the document has finished spooling out to the printer.

When you say it's still not working right, what exactly is happening?

Thank you for your input, Terry. Let me try and answer your questions..

Fisrt off, I'm not sure I know what you mean by a bi-directional wireless
connection? Here's what I can tell you. My Desktop is connected to a Router
and the Router is connected to the cable modem. I have two laptops that are
located in two adjacent bedrooms that have wireless adaptors installed which
work fine. I also have an HP Wireless printer that is setup on this network
where my desktop PC and the two laptops print. based on that input, maybe you
can tell if I have a bi-directional wireless connection.

Second question.. let me try to explain a little better as to what is
happening. The Data Execution Prevention issue only ocurrs when I print from
WORD thru my desktop. It has not occured at all when the Laptops print (could
be because the laptops are using Windows 2000?). Now back to my desktop... I
click on a WORD document and try to print it either by clicking on the little
printer icon or going into 'File-Print'. What happens is that the system
hangs for a minute or two and then the documents eventually prints, but the
little arrow never comes back so that you can "X" out of the document. After
printing finally ocurrs, I get the dialog box stating that there is a Data
Execution Prevention Error and Windows will now close. I choose not to send a
report and usually close out of it.

Then one day, when it happened again, instead of closing out of the error, I
hit the "Change Settings" tab and it took me into an XP screen for Data
Execution Prevention. It listed about 4 or 5 programs in the box and some had
checks and some didn't. After reading, I decided to check off the WORD 2003
Box and hot save.

I then went into WORD to print again and this time, it didn't give me the
Data Execution prevention Error, but you could see that the system was
struggling to print. It did print and then immediately existed WORd without
me even closing out of the document. So, it worked a little better, but my
goal is to make it right. Don't know why it ocurred now. I've owned my PC for
only about 2 months and this only started about a week or so ago. I have hear
that there are fixes that can be downloaded for these kinds of Data Execution
Prevention things. I haven't been able to find any that affect WORD 2003.

So - with that long winded response, i'm hoping you can help me. Thanks!
