Data file did not close properly

I'm running Outlook 2007 with Vista Home Premium. I frequently get a "data
file did not close properly" message when I open Vista. Doesn't seem to
matter if I have 1) "X'd" out,2) chosen File and then Exit or 3) just left
Outlook open when I shut down my machine. I also ran Scanpst.exe on the pst
file and it said there were only minor problems, but fixed it anyway. To the
best of my knowledge I'm not running any desktop search other than
Microsoft's indexing service. Is this just one of those "live with it"
issues? Thanks.
