Data in PWA and Professional do not match

MS Project Server 2003 and Pro 2003.
Hello, I have one project manager who is receiving conflicting data between
Web Access and Professional, for two particular tasks. An example of one of
the tasks is as follows.
PWA
Work Actual Work Remaining Work
16.5 hrs 16.5 hrs 0 hrs

Project Professional
Work Actual Work Remaining Work
12 hrs 11.5 hrs 0.5 hrs

Although the fields are different, the total of the day by day actual work
tally in PWA is equal to the actual work in Project Professional. Any
suggestions? As always, it is appreciated.

Thanks,

dclarcq

Where in PWA does he/she actually see the data? I'm assuming on the View My
Tasks page. If this is the case, did the PM in question manually enter
actuals in the Microsoft Project plan? And if so, did he/she remember to
click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments, select the "Overwrite
actual work entered by resources", and then click the OK button? Or did
he/she enter the data in the View My Tasks page, update it to him/herself,
and then update it into the Microsoft Project plan? Let us know.

Thanks, Dale. The Project Manager entered their time in View my Tasks
section, updated themself and then accepted the data.

Thanks,

After updating the progress from PWA into the Microsoft Project plan, did
the PM also click Collaborate - Publish - All Information to sychronize the
data between the Microsoft Project plan and PWA? Let us know.

He didn't at the time, but we just tried it and their is still a gap. Also,
we have noticed this person has the same symptoms on two other projects and
one other PM has symptoms on one task on their own project. Further info for
you, we have recently done a mass modification of project calendars and and
addition of a text field for visibility in the PWA timesheet.

Thanks,

DClarcq
