data limits?

We're trying to build an Excel file with over 15,000 data points, but it keeps crashing.

Is there a limit to the number of data points?

Sorry, I don't have more details at this time - it's an updated copy of 2008 running on an 8-core MacPro (that is similarly updated to "current").
