POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of a data management development the data modeler will be
working with the development on various projects to construct, expand
and maintain the information and data models that comprise the
program's business and technical solution. This will encompass the
following activities:
Define and communicate data architectural standards; participate in
the data/database architecture review process and help enforce
adherence of the defined data standards, principles, and procedures.
Create and maintain data architecture roadmaps based on gap analysis
for transitioning from current to future-state architectures.
Create and maintain an enterprise data model and the associated
metadata repository to ensure data standardization and reusability.
Knowledge of data transformation/integration technologies, transaction
processing procedures, and advanced modeling and design tools.
Expertise in OLTP and OLAP data modeling with experience across a
broad range of information management technologies such as data
warehouse, executive information system, data mining, business
intelligence and enterprise portals.
Experience with UML modeling and data/database design tools such as CA
Erwin, Embarcadero ER/Studio, Oracle Designer, etc.
Collaborate with DBAs to ensure that any business issues, rules or
concepts are reflected on the physical database design.
Demonstrated broad technical knowledge with strong documentation and
diagramming skills, especially in the areas of writing data
requirements analysis, metadata definitions and strategies, data
architecture and database design specifications.
Demonstrated ability to set and communicate technology standards from
both strategic and tactical perspectives.
· A minimum of four (4) to five (5) years experience, as a Data
Modeler with a background of designing and refining on medium to large
scale databases and data warehouse projects.
· At least four (4) to five (5) years experience years
experience with a data modeling tools (ERWIN, PowerDesigner, and
ERStudio).
· Practical experience in data warehousing, data mining and
business intelligence environment.
· Four (4) to five (5) years of strong database technology
skills is required in both Oracle and SQL Server and experience in
implementing Oracle partitioning technologies.
· Strong SQL experience with ad hoc queries and stored
procedures. This includes a structured programming experience is
required in both PL/SQL and T-SQL.
· Experience with a remote delivery partner/model.
· Exposure to CMMI Level 3 software development lifecycle
management processes.
· It is preferred that the candidate has a worked in the
financial industry with specific experience in Traditional Credit
Products: loans, leases, asset or collateral management. This includes
Familiarity and general knowledge of banking business processes and
banking information systems.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle
ambiguity effectively and develop/deliver findings and recommendations
to the solution architect quickly.
· BS in CS, Economics, Math, Information Systems (IS), or
related discipline. This position requires the ability to manage
initiatives to aggressive time frames to assure that deadlines are
met. This is a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, so
