Data presentation in chart form

I have 2 sets of data. One set in column A, rows 1 thru 10. Another set in Column B, rows 1 thru 10. I want one line on the chart such that any point on the line will give me the corresponding value between the column A & B data. This would be similar to Dates (X-axis) in column A and data (Y-axis) in column B. This is what I want for data not using dates.

When creating a chart by selecting columns A & B, Excel will produce a chart with 2 lines (one for each column) with Y-axis values for each line and an X-axis of row sequence from 1 to 10. This is not what I want.

Hi -
Play around with numerous options in the "Gallery", refer to the top left description to make sure you are choosing wisely, and check out the "edit chart" option in the "toolbox" for switching rows with columns.

Hope this helps.

I don't know what "between the column A and B data" means, and neither does
Excel. I think you want to create a third column, column C for example, that
contains the values you want to plot. Use a formula in C1 like
=average(a1,b1), and fill it down to row 10. Then plot the data in column C.
