data pushed to next page

Hi all,
I have a report run from a crosstab query. Within the report there is a
related subreport which is run from another query. This subreport is in a
header section just above the detail section. Whenever the subreport grows
to a certain size all the fields in the detail are pushed to the next page.
Most of the fields that are pushed could fit on the first page. Is there a
way to allow some of the fields to stay on the first page? I've tried in
various places setting Keep Together to No and Can Grow to Yes.
Hope someone can help!
