Data Records Take Up Two Rows.

S

Sam

Hi ...

Maybe this doesn't have anything to do with programming, but I hope
someone will respond, because I am baffled. I copied a table from Word and
pasted it into a spreadsheet. But every record takes up two rows

A B C D
1 Last Name First City (More Info)
2 Smith John New York
3
4 Jones Mary Chicago
5
6 Hughes Mike London

The border is around two rows. 2 & 3 have just one border, 4 & 5 have a
border, and so on.

Anybody have any idea what happened??

Thank you,

Sam

That happened because, in your original Word table, there is a return at the end of the text in each cell of the table

You can try this
1) From the Edit menu, choose "Past Special
2) Paste as Tex
