Hi. I'm using Visio 2007 and have created an Org Chart tied to an Excel
spreadsheet using the built-in wizard. I would like to update the shapes on
the page when the Excel data changes. I understand that I cannot update the
structure of the new org chart (e.g. new or removed entries) - but I should
be able to update the data for an individual shape.
However, the Refresh Data option is always grayed out. In the help it
states that this happend when I don't have a data link. Is this something
that is done automatically for me when I create the chart or do I have to do
something to get this to work. Each of my shapes have the correct associated
data that was pulled form the Excel spreadsheet. I'm assuming they are
linked. Any ideas on what the problem could be?
