We are using MSPS 2007 and attempting to populate datasheets for various
reasons. but the 'edit in datasheet' function is not working. we get the
standard error saying "The list cannot be displayed in datasheet view for one
or more of the following reasons: a component is not installed, your browser
doesn't support Active X or the Active X controll is disabled".. To the best
of our ability, none of these are true statements. We are in the situation
where some of our MS products are 2003 but Project is 2007 Pro and we have
the SP's applied. this is not an issue on all machine just some of them and
we cannot figure out the differences between the machines. We have attempted
the to swap owssupp.dll from the office 11 folder with the one in office 12
to no avail. Also tried to run MS Office diagnostics also with mo success.
One possibility is on at least one of the machines effected we did install
the Hotfix from late October attempting to fix an "error code 42" issue. I
know this is an ongoing problem, anybody have anything new for this?
