Data Source for Task Usage View

What is the data source for the Task Usage View in Project 2002 and Server?

For some reason one project's actual work is not populating
MSP_VIEW_PROJ_ASSN_TP_BY_DAY. We query that table for this and other
projects and the data was properly reported.

However, we had an instance of duplicated projects and we followed the steps
in in KB812639.

Now after I process a task update, I see the actual hours properly reported
in the Task Usage View in Project, but I don't see the actual hours in the
report I generated using MSP_VIEW_PROJ_ASSN_TP_BY_DAY.

I have republished the assignments, and also elected to overwrite user
actuals. I have republished the entire project plan.

So I am wondering "What is the data source for the Task Usage View in
Project 2002 and Server?" and how can I get that information to populate
MSP_VIEW_PROJ_ASSN_TP_BY_DAY?
