Confused. Why do we need Data Source for Controls?

Hi,
To refer a field or control we store that field name in the data source. If
you want to know more details about data source, once go through the below

HI,

It will strore your field name in the data source and if you enter any data
in the fields and save the form. Then that data will be saved in those data
source fields.

If you want to use Conditional Formatting, Rules, Data validatio for any
field or you want to write any code, then you need field from data source.
You cannot do any aboove thing without a data source.
