Data transfer over USB

I am working on developing an application to run on the Windows CE 4.2 OS. I
am using Embedded VC ++ 4.0. I plan to use USB port to communicate from the
Win CE based application to the VB 6.0 application running on Windows XP. I
have developed software using serial comm protocol(RS232- comm port) and
windows sockets. However I do not have much experience developing application
to communicate by USB (Universal Serial Bus). Any help will beappreciated -
documentation , sample programs etc.
