Data validation (drop down list)

I have set up data validation on a cell that produces a
drop down list of names.

Is there a way that I can enable a partial name search.
e.g I type in the letter F and the frist entry beginning
with F will be selected?

This does not appear to be available in this function in
Excel 2000
