Data Validation & Filtering Lists

Hi all

As the Subject suggests.

Is there a way to filter a Data Validated list, or would I have to switch
over to a cboBox and apply the filters to that instead.

eg..

Name..........Group..........Active
Jack 1 Y
Jill 1 N
Peter 2 Y
Paul 2 Y
Mary 2 N

So when using the auto-filter on the NamedRange attached to the name column
in Sheet2, I would like to filter out the "N" active, and say select only
Group 2 members; so that when the dropdown list on Sheet1 is opened, it only
displays the active members.

Not sure if Barbara Dalgleish's Contextures DataValidation example
will/would fit the bill, that said...! While I am awaiting your feverish
responses, I 'll go sus it out and report back.

I found this on Deb's site that may suit my needs.
