Data Validation: Lists

I have a drop down list created column A made of main cetegories. I want to
create a subcategory drop down list in column B based on the main category
selected in column A.

The data for the main categories are in column I. All subcategory lists are
contained in columns J through W with a header from the main category.

How can I establish my subcategory drop down list based on what I choose for
the main category in the previous column, or should I try a different
approach?
