Data View Web Part

Hi, I am having a problem getting the Dataview Webpart to work in FP2003. I
am connecting to a Windows 2003 Server running Windows SharePoint Services
and MS SQL Server 2000 with SP3A installed. When I try to add an entry to
the database connections catalog, I cannot get past this error message
"Server Error: An error occurred while retrieving the list of databases from"
I have searched the MS Knowledge Base and found one article that instructs to
make a modification to the webconfig file for a proxy server. Which, I am
not using a proxy server by the way. Anyway, I cannot seem to overcome this
error. I would appreciate any help anybody is able to provide. Also, when I
enter the userid and password for the connection, it is a valid userid and
password and does have sufficient privileges in the database.

You may want to try the WSS newsgroup support at: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices

I will follow your suggestion Stefan, but have the feeling I will be told to
try the Front Page newsgroup as I am trying to utilize Front Page to access
WSS.
