Database comparison

I have a front-end mde where data is imported from the back-end. Reason
being, it is meant for reporting only. Is possible to check and compare the
front-end to the back-end to see whether data is up to date?

Why not save yourself the trouble and just link to the backend?

teluu,

I have to side with Gina. This would be unusual behavior and usually
indicates there is a larger issue with how the report works. Maybe if
you shared more about how the report works, what SQL statements you need
to use to generate the report, and exactly how does it "slow down the
backend", we can provide more useful suggestion.

Linking to the back and running your report should slow down the
backend. I can't think of one instance where that happened.

Don't you mean "should NOT slow down the back end"?

Picky, picky... <chuckle> Yes, that is what I meant and glad
that is what the OP understood!

It happens to me all the time -- I post something very strongly
worded, and then discover that I left out a NOT or something, and
ended up saying EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what I intended.

I should fire my typist.

Are you using the same one as me?

David W. Fenton

Well, your typist needed somewhere to go after you fired 'em!

He's still working for me.

Or, at least, someone who types just as badly as he always did!
