Database Connection/ Results not working

Hello -

I am having difficulty connecting my Microsoft Access
database to my FrontPage website. I'm using FP2003 and
MS Access 2000. I'm also using Windows XP Home Edition.
In my FP website, I choose, File, Import, and then import
my database into the fpdb folder, I follow the, what I
believe to be, appropriate prompts to establish a
connection. I then create a new page within my site and
choose Insert Database Results. Again, I follow the
appropriate prompts. On my page, I then get a message
stating "This page contains a component that requires a
different file extension. You should rename this page
with a file extension of .asp." I then save the page
with a .asp extension and still receive the same
message. When I preview the page, the field names are
present, but there is no query data and the message
states, "Database results region will not preview unless
this page is fetched from a web server with a web
browser." Another message states, "The Database Results
component on this page must have a filename ending
in .asp and the web must be hosted on a server that
supports Active Server Pages." When I publish the site,
I get a message for this specific page that states, "The
page cannot be displayed. HTTP 500 Internal Server
Error. Internet Explorer. At this point, I don't know
what I am doing wrong and what to do to correct it. Do I
need to somehow upload my Access database to a server on
my web hosting provider? If so, do I need to know a
server name and password? And if so, how do I go about
doing this? Does the fact that I am using Windows XP
Home Edition have anything to do with this? I have been
registered with my web host now since May and have not
been able to get past this point, which is not very far.
I was told when signing on with my web host, that it is
able to support Access database connections; however,
this is becoming very discouraging for me. I have called
Tech Support several times and they have been very nice,
but I still don't have an answer to my questions and a
resolution. I really need to make this work somehow, so
if someone is able to please provide the answers that I
need, I would appreciate it. Also, please provide
specific "step-by-step" instructions on how to correct
this issue. Thank you for your help.

After you have created your database connection and renamed your page to .asp, you must publish the
site to a Windows IIS server to test your pages. You can not test any thing under Windows XP Home
that requires a MS Web server, as none are supported.
