Can I get some help please

Just extra data. I have tried everything said in other posts by Diane. The problem is very similar to the one discussed in post:

Hi everyone,

I have a serious problem with my email database. When I open Entourage it says: 'Entourage cannot access your data. To attempt to fix the problem, rebuild your database.'

Here is the problem. When I click OK, database utility launches but the corrupt database does NOT show up in the list of databases to even attempt to repair it. All other databases show up fine. Is there a maybe a way to force select the database that I need to repair ?

On another computer, exact same problem, BUT only 4 out of 7 databases show up in the list. Including 2 databases which have no problem at all, dont show up either.

Pls help, all my emails since 2001 are gone.

Many thanks in advance

I have the same proble and a 4,6 GB database

In the Finder, check the size on the database file. Does it show the correct
size or is it really small?

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/Main
Identity/database

Have you restarted?
Run Repair Permissions?
Run Disk Warrior?
Checked your drive using Disk Utility?

Quit Entourage.
Move the Microsoft User Data folder to the desktop.
Open Entourage and let it create a new blank MUD folder.
Does this work OK?
Quit Entourage
If yes, then drag from the desktop your Main Identity and see if it opens?

You might need to download the combo updater from Apple and run it again
rather than using Software Update. Doing so overwrites potentially
problem-causing files. Combo updaters will install on the same version as
they¹re applying‹no need to roll back or do a clean install.

Mac OS X 10.5.6 Combo Update (For both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macs )
