Database editor template, update form is corrupted, how to fix?

I used the database editor template in MS Frontpage 2003 and modified most of
the elements to my needs. I even added extra ASP coded options by coping
elements out of those in the template and modifying them. Only now the update
option is corrupted so that I can not update the database elements. You are
warned about not modifying this code since it would corrupt it. Everything
else works to include the edit, submission, and results options but not the
update option. Is there a way of trouble shooting and fixing Frontpage ASP
coded elements without deleting and redoing the entire Frontpage Database
Template?

You can't modify the ASP code that FP generates. It will (should) revert
back to the original code.

Two possibilities:

1) Your action of adding extra code seems to have inadvertantly and
unintentionally brought about your problem.

2) Lots of people have posted here that the "Update" function in the
Database Interface Wizard doesn't work properly and they get a db error when
trying to change and existing record and save the changes - I think that's a
general bug in FP itself, nothing you've done.
