Hello,
i keep getting this spooler error: DATABASE ERROR (0x80040E14).
We are running SP-1 and i only get this error for one project in particular,
and even when i do a save-as and delete the project file, the error comes
back shortly after.
Could you please help? or know what that error means??
Thank you.

Gabriel:

The error indicates a task assignment duplication. If you're removing the
project from the server and importing it back, and then the error comes
back, then we can only assume that a user is repeating an action that causes
the problem or something else is mucked up. I'm sorry that I can't be more
specific, but it would be helpful to know what transpires with the user
immediately prior to the dupe being created.

Gary,
Thank you very much for your post. I tried checking for a task assignment
duplication, but as i understood it, i think you meant that a resource is
assigned twice to the same task, however project does not allow you to do
that right when you try. Maybe i did not understand what you meant by that.
could you please clarify?

Gabriel:

The error is caused by a duplicate assignment in the database. It means the
resource has two assignments to the same task. This is not something that
you can see in Project, and it theoretically shouldn't happen.

In the knowledge base article ID 889500 I think relates to this issue and how
to possibly resolve.
