When I try to publish a project, MS Project goes through the motions, then
right at the end an error message pops up stating:

A database error occurred on the server.
An error occurred on the server during database access.
Contact you server administrator.

Barret:

A little more background on the project and your situation would be helpful,
but I suspect you've got duplicate assignment records associated with this
project. Your most expedient solution, if I'm correct, is to save this
project to a local mpp file, delete the current version from the server,
then use the Import Wizard to bring the project back to the server. Finally,
you'll need to use Publish > Republish from the Collaborate menu selecting
the checkbox to overwrite actual work in the timesheets, to push the
information back to PWA.

Thanks for writing back. But I reinstalled the OS and the others. That
problem has gone away. Now when I try to sync the sites it is returning with:
"Failed to syncronize users between Project Server and the selected Windows
SharePoint Services site."

Any suggestions?

Once again, not much to go on. With this limited information, I suggest that
you review the account you're using for WSS in COM+. Make sure it's there
and working.

Again, thanks for reading my post. I have figured out how to fix this. For
anyone looking for how to fix:

"Failed to syncronize users between Project Server and the selected Windows
SharePoint Services site."

I delete the site, but not the SharePoint team web site. Republish the
project, which in most cases creates a new sharepoint site. From the admin
tools, select Manage Windows SharePoint Services -> Manage SharePoint Sites
-> select the project that you just published and select Edit Site Address.
Change this address to the original (so I hope you wrote it down!). Then by
some other means, (stsadmin?) delete the site was created when you
republished the project. Fixed my problems.
