Windows XP Home, sp3, Office XP sp3: recently started having a
problem with not just Access databases but being able to open a
program that uses an "Access based form of database" (a program that
doesn't require Access installed, yet uses an access based database) I
first noticed it yesterday when I tried to open my Photoshop Album
program and it failed. I went to by database of "program discs" (to
find where my adobe disc was to reinstall it) and access was all
screwed up too.
I totally removed office XP, reinstalled and still get the following
error: When I open a database and click on a table or form it pops up
(the yellow exclamation mark) "Unknown" that's it, Unknown (then it
gets the "Access must close now...").
I knew the Adobe used an access based form of database and even after
reinstalling, it's error says: when I open the program it says "The
ODBC data source reported the following error: internal error, data
not found"
The databases work fine (both Access and Adobe) on my laptop that
hasn't been cleaned with the CCleaner so I know it's not just the DB's
themselves.
Is there something in the registry I should look fore to change or put
back if it's missing?
I believe I screwed up the registry using a semi aggressive registry
cleaner (CCleaner) as the problems just started. Some how it's not
recognising whats inside the databases themselves... (novice here)
