Database Error

Sandy

Hi have an Access 2000 database installed on the C: drive
of a computer. The office uses a local area network and I
am having trouble trying to give one of the other users
access to the database.

I shared the relevant folder across the network and from
Computer 2, you can see the database file but if you try
to open it from Explorer you get the following error:

Microsoft Access can't find the database file 'xxxxx'
Make sure you entered the correct path and file name

There are other files in this folder (.doc) that can be
easily opened.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance
Sandy

Check the security settings on the shared folder.Users
have to have at least modify permission.

Hope this helps.
