Not sure if this is the right place to ask but does anyone
know where I can get a simple wearther recording database,
especially for daily rainfall and temprature?

Thanks

Without knowing your requirements, ata a guess, MS Excel may be a better
option for you. If you simply want to record rainfall, day by day, and then
carry out analysis/charting etc, Excel will certainly do the job, alot
easier than Access will.

Hope that helps! :)

That would, of course, be a matter of opinion. Excel is a wonderful analysis
tool, Access a database tool. Those of us skilled in both would certainly
find Access the easier and better tool for recording rainfall (or just about
anything else).

For instance, assuming 5 years of data, how easy would it be in Excel to
compare the rainfall last month in Miami, to that of New York, the same
month, 2 years ago. A simple query in Access. In Excel you must first find
the cells which house that data.

I agree with the other responses and unless you have been specificall
tasked to use Access you would be much better advised to use Excel.
I have compiled a basic version which just deals with rainfall.
This could easily be updated to include max/min temperatures etc
should you wish to.
I can advise you how to do this if you wish.
The form will run in Excel, and is a master copy which automaticall
adds up totals, and converts from mm's to inches.
Let me know if you wish me to e-mail it to you.
Cheers, happy recording
