database help

i am building a website that requires a database and im wanting to know
what software would be the best choice(s) for me?

the database needs to consist of an accounts page, login, a page where they
member can post some info, and the ability for someone to search the posted
info

i have basic access skills, average dreamweaver skills, and almost zero
server knowhow

i want to know the best way to go about creating my database and being able
to integrate it into my website?

Hi -

I really appreciate your dedication to the project - but you might be
out of your element.

Those who can accomplish the job you described have a working
knowledge of SQL or Oracle, php, ajax, apache, linux, unix, etc.

For example - a typical "LAMP" configuration for an interactive asp
would integrate linux, apache, mySQL and pHp (or perl or python).

I think you need to bring on an expert...
