We were using our Access 2000 just fine yesterday, but
this morning when we arrived at work and tried to open
the database, we received the following message:
"THIS DATABASE IS IN AN UNEXPECTED STATE; MICROSOFT
ACCESS CAN'T OPEN IT. THIS DATABASE HAS BEEN CONVERTED
FROM A PRIOR VERSION OF MICROSOFT ACCESS BY USING THE DAO
COMPACTDATABASE METHOD INSTEAD OF THE CONVERT DATABASE
COMMAND ON THE TOOLS MENU (DATABASE UTILITIES SUBMENU).
THIS HAS LEFT THE DATABASE IN A PARTIALLY CONVERTED
STATE."
I do not have a current backup of the database to
restore. Any ideas on how to recover the database. I
tried using the Compact and Repair under the tools menu,
but I receive the same message. Thank you for any help
offered!
