Database Locked

I have a database located on a server which we access thru
an internet connection. I had the database open
(exclusive) this morning when my internet connection to
the server went down. Now when anyone tries to login to
the database, we get "File already in use". Short of
rebooting the server, is there anyway to unlock the file?

The mdb file name also now has a .bak & .snp file on the
directory while the "secured.mdw" also has .ldb & .hld
files on the directory. I understand that the .ldb is the
locking file indicating that the .mdb file is open ... but
not sure where all the others have come from. Thanks for
any help you can provide.
