Database Opens, This Recordset Not Updatable

Split Database with front and back end on network.
Access 2003. Users have different front end than admin does.
When i open the front end from the users machine, it gives me the error;
This Recordset Not Updatable.

Is it the same query in both versions of the front-end?

Can they update anything in the back-end (i.e.: make sure there are no
permissions issues)
