Hi,

MS Access version 2007 removed ULS in their new versions and employed a more
empowered database password with new encryption.

I know how to make a new encryption function. What I want to achieve is
apply this new encryption of mine in the database password and apply it to
the ms access version 2003 database so that it will be as like version 2007
so that the database password cannot be retrieve easily but tools found in
the internet.

can somebody show me or help me on this. thanks.

You cannot alter how the password is stored in Access. You can encrypt
your password, then use THAT password to "secure" your database, but
the utilities on the internet would simply see your encrypted password
and use that ... and Access would open.

If you need the extra strength of the 07 password, then move to the 07
platform.
