database password

I tried to set a password to my database. When I try to
open in and click set database password it tells me I
must close the database and then on the file menu click
open and then the arrow to the right click exculsive.
There is no arrow besdie open???

It can be confusing because you must first go to Access,

highlight the file but do not double click or put in the
filename. Then the Open command will have an arrow.
