Hello...
out of the blue i began receiving a message saying that my database was
corrupted and needed to be rebuilt... It gave me an option to quit all
office programs and open the database manager. So I did this... I tried
to rebuild and it said it was unsuccessful. I tried reopening Entourage
and it wouldn't get past the Entourage logo screen without telling me I
needed to quit and rebuild my database. I tried rebuilding again and
this time it said it was successful. However, Entourage still would not
open without telling me my database needed to be rebuilt. I went into
my Documents folder, and then Microsoft User Data > Office 2004
Identities > Main Identity and double-clicked on the Database file.
Entourage opened as if I had never used it before. All folders empty,
and it asked me if I would like to import from any old programs or just
start using Entourage.... while of course, I have been using Entourage
for the past two years and have accumulated hundreds of contacts and
thousands of emails, that suddenly are no longer displayed in
Entourage.
I am going to guess all of my stuff is hidden somewhere... How can I
recover it? I run a backup of my primary internal drive so I have a
complete copy of the drive that wouldn't be more than a few days old if
that should be required.
As you can imagine, this is rather frustrating and good reason for me
to start using Apple's apps. Any help/suggestions would be greatly
appreciated, thanks.
