Database Security

Hello
I have set security to Low on my database, but I'm still prompted to enter a password, and asked If I want to open the database. I can live with this, but now I cannot run or create database Query from Excel. I'm told I do not have the permissions to do this. Is there a way to remove the security

Thank yo

You have mixed up a number of unrelated things. Setting the macro security
level to low has nothing to do with being prompted for a password.

Also you refer to a password to open the database, yet a warning about 'no
permissions' to access the data - these imply different methods of security
in Access.

If you are being prompted for a password only, and want to remove it, then
open the database and go to Tools, Security, Database password and set the
password to blank.

If you are being prompted for a username/password, and you want to remove
this security, then
a) give full permissions on all objects to the Users Group (don't forget the
database object)
b) go to Tools, Security, Workgroup Administrator; click Join and rejoin the
default system.mdw workgroup which is usually located in the windows system
folder
c) open Access and create a new database
d) import all objects from your mdb
