database sharing

I have Office 2003 xp home edition, on a network. When
trying to redesign and save a report, it tells me I don't
have control and my design might not be saved. It also
says I can distribute copies of my database to others on
the network. How?

You could be encountering a few issues but first, Access will prevent
you from modifying database objects if another user has the database
open. You can not make design changes while sharing the database.

Access 97 allowed this but Access 2000 and higher does not.

If that is not the case then is the database stored on a network
drive? If so what permissions do you have assigned for the
folder/database?
