Hi,

I have mapped the front-end on my machine to the back-end on the company
server using UNC mapping. It does not allow me to add and edit records from
the front end on my machine.

However when I map the front-end on my machine to the back end on the server
using drive mapping. It allows me to add new records and edit records.

Can anyone advise why this may be happening.

hi How1,

Check if you have full access on the share or folder. You need full
access on NTFS and for the share itself.
However when I map the front-end on my machine to the back end on the server
using drive mapping. It allows me to add new records and edit records.
Sounds like a permission problem.

hi,
Can you advise how to check this.
Open an explorer window using your UNC path. Try to create, modify and
delete a text file.
