Dale:
I'll defer to Luther, or one of the BCM Team, who knows more about these
logs than I do...
Thanks,
Lon

After successfully restoring a .sbb database file into the newly created
database I again ran the tool. This attempt to share the databaseended
with
the same failed results.
Another help resource I'm using pointed out that there is a BCM logging
tool
that can be turned on by changing the value of a registry key, BCMLogging,
to
255. This registry key location is HCU\Software\Microsoft\Business
Solutions
eCRM Wizard.
Once logging was on I recorded the following after another failed
"sharing"
attempt (if you need the non-wordwrap jumbled version let me know):

:
That's very strange but I'll give that a try later when I'm able and post
back the result.
Thanks again Lon
:
I've had this problem before and I think I solved it by (1) beingthe
administrator on the server, and (2) having some data in the BCM
database.
Restore a little test database into it first. I think that's what I
did to
solve it.
HTH,
Lon

then
tried the share step. The result was the same failure occured.
:
Are you logged on as the Administrator? That's been my salvation
with
this
Tool.

messageAlthough I've been successful setting up a shared BCM database
before
and
am
familiar with the steps to get it working, I am having difficulty
with
a
current effort. What has happened is that when I run the BCM for
Outlook
2007 Database Tool (hereafter referred to as BCM-O7DT) and attempt
the
share
database phase it fails to succeed. An error window appears with
a red
circle and white X stating "Sharing the database did not complete
successfully."
I've double-checked my work and the instructions and have yet to
find
an
answer or any information about the existence of log files Ican
search
for
clues. My Googling and web searching has yet to lead me to any
useful
information. Do you have any ideas or can you help in anyway?
