Database Tool

Hi,

My BCM database should be on SBS 2003.
I can successfully create the BCM DB on SBS with the database tool for BCM.
And the process to share the db within the same tool terminates successfully
too. I granted acces to the user, which has to work on the client-pc with bcm.
But I don't "see" the db on the client-pc within bcm.
The connection between pc and sbs is ok, since I can open this bcm-db in the
sql 2005 on sbs with access 2007 on the client-pc.

Can anybody help me?

Can you tell me the size of the database that is hosted on the server .Also
if you create a new database on the server (without any data) are you able
to view it through the client ?

Hi Raul

Yes, I created a new db with this Database Tool on SBS. That's why it is
very small. Just empty.
I can view it through the client-pc with Microsoft Access 2007. But BCM 2007
on the same client cannot see the database. But BCM is able to connect to the
SQL 2005. There is no connection problem. Before I did the share-procedure
too with the Database Tool.
Have you got an idea?

The values BCM uses to figure out if a db is valid are in a db table
named orgtable. It compares the values of locale, version, and
possibly others to make sure the db matches BCM. When they match, the
db is available.
