Database troubles

I was moving from Entourage 2008 to Snow Leopard's Apple Mail (via the import in Mail). The import stalled, and left the Entourage Database seemingly empty. We have important conversations stalling today, and are trying to resolve the issue ASAP.

The identity still is over 9GB's, so the data is still there. After reinstalling Entourage, we were able to open the identity, but messages from June until present are missing. Spotlight can still see those messages. They are still cached, and we can open them individually in TextEdit.

The calendar items are still all intact and accurate.

Rebuilding the database receives an error in step 4/5.

Apple support blames Microsoft. Microsoft support blames Apple. Of course :)

Is there any way to rebuild the database from the cache, or import from the cache into Apple Mail?

Thank you so much for your time!

With lots of free space you might be able to rebuild. See this article:

You cannot rebuild from the cache files in Snow Leopard. There is a script
but it will only work in Tiger.
