Database Utility Crashes

Hi, Entourage tells me my DB is damaged and to repair. If i do repair OR compact, it says there was an error while repairing/compacting my database. no info beyond that.

if i verify, it says that problems were found w/ the database and i need to rebuild (see above).

Any suggestions?

oops - re: the title - i meant Database Utility FAILS - not crashes. the utility itself does not crash, simply fails with those errors.

Can you open the Identity? If yes, you can manually move your data into a
new Identity.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

If no, then how much free space is on your hd and how big is your database?
