Database website times out

I have recently inhereted a database wesite that has given me fits in recent
days. The websites times out after browsing the sites for about 5 minutes or
less. Any help I can get is greatly appreciated. Here is the error that comes
up when it times out:

Server Error in '/' Application.
Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection
from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in
use and max pool size was reached.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the
current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about
the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.InvalidOperationException: Timeout expired. The
timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This
may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool
size was reached.

Source Error:

request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can
be identified using the exception stack trace below.
