Database will not allow more than one user.

Access 2002. This error just started happening. It
happens with all my databases. When a second person tries
to open one of my databases (.mdb), and another user has
it open they get the following error message:

The table 'MSysAccessStorage' is already opened
exclusively by another user, or it is already open through
the user interface and cannot be manipulated
programmatically.

This is new and critical. Thanks.

This has happened to me before when the network folks have been messing with
permissions. Is there a chance you have all of the dbs' back-ends located
on a LAN server? Anyone using these will have to have read/write
permissions to the folder/directory/share in which the back-end(s) reside.

(and no, the network folks have never explained WHY they were messing with
permissions... <g>)

Could it be that that's what network folks THINK they are supposed to do?
