I have a database stored on a server that is used by
several department members. Security is run through a MDW
file and things seem to be ok. Except one thing. On the
start up window I specified that the Database window
would not be shown and the Access special use keys are
disabled. This prevents the Database window popping on
several computers (mine, and neighboring ones), but on a
couple of other computers in the dept the Database window
shows up in the Windows Task Bar located at the bottom of
the desk top screen (the task bar that has the
Windows "Start" button, date and time, etc) So the user
can just click on the Database window in the tool bar (It
says "G:\Productivity.MDW")and the Database window that
is supposed to be hidden to the user just pops up in the
Access window. I dont understand why this is happening on
some computers, but not others.
TIA
