All, I have read many, many previous posts on this, but I haven't seen my
scenario. As of yesterday, my database changed. When it is launched,
everyone gets the popup, "Database xx is read only." This is happening in
one frontend out of 4 which use the backend and is an MDE file. Strange part
is that I can actually change the data and seemingly use it as normal after I
OK the popup. But, I can no longer update it. If I need to do any work, I
do it in the MDB and then I just "Make MDE" it again. I can't delete, cut or
rename the MDE so until I resolve the issue, I am stuck. I really don't want
to shift my users to the less secure MDB, but at present my options are
limited. Any ideas??
