Dataflow Diagram from Database

I have a database with two tables: Application and Dataflow
Dataflow has (a surrogate key plus) two fields: FromApplication and
ToApplication
[Actually both tables have a lot of other data, but this is the critical
part.]

I wish to link the Application DB records to a Process symbol in my Visio
diagram and connect these with Dataflow DB records represented as a
Center-to-Center connector.

Following the HELP system instructions I get no connectors on my drawing.
How do I tell Visio how to connect the dataflows to the Processes?
