Datasource portable

Hello,
i need help to create a portoble data Source for my Shapes.
I had an excel file which is my data source.
Tried to use Shape Studio from SDK, but doesnt work for me.
Is there a Step-by-Step manual for the Shape Studio?
I want to send the vsd and xls file someone, so he can change values
in the xls file and can use this in the vsd file.

Since the datasource includes the localpath/directory in the definition, I'd
suggest that you consider telling them what directory it needs to be
installed in. The alternative of course is to write custom code in your
template that walks the user through associating your excel sheet with the
drawing. There are examples over on Chris Roth's site and the visio sdk.

AFAIK the ShapeStudio isn't getting a lot of focus from MS at the moment.
